Dear News Media,
I’ve got a helpful suggestion about your ongoing coverage of the Katrina disaster:
Timestamp your footage. I know this may be inconvenient, but I’m *really* tired of seeing footage I saw on Wednesday morning being presented in the context of a discussion you’re having on Saturday morning. Really. It borders on the dishonest. It’s hard enough to get all the facts on the ground without confusing us with footage that no longer applies to the situation.
Also, don’t let up on the gummint. In particular, I’d like to know a little more about why FEMA, the organization primarily responsible for dealing with the nation’s *very worst disasters*, is being run by a guy who couldn’t even handle his last job, running a horse fanciers club.
