Greg DeKoenigsberg Speaks

OLPC community-based testing

Posted in Uncategorized by Greg DeKoenigsberg on November 15, 2007

If you’ve been interested in working on OLPC, but have no idea how to get started, consider becoming a tester of activities. Check out the Activity Testing Matrix.

Right now, the process for “Activity Testing” is, frankly, pretty rough. There’s so much going on, and people are running full-speed to solve so many different problems in such a short timeframe, that process isn’t really a high priority for anyone.

My goal is to establish a testing process for activities that allows newbies to participate immediately in meaningful ways.

So check out the Matrix and get involved. Please. If you’ve been looking for a way to help, this is a great start.

Find me on freenode if you have any questions. I’m gregdek, and I hang out in #olpc-qa, among other places. See you there.
