OLPC Infrastructure Gang needs you!
Hello Fedorans.
As many of you may know, the OLPC project is trying to build a community organization that is similar in duties and scope to the Fedora infrastructure team. One of the biggest things they need right now: a buildmaster.
OLPC builds a lot of packages. They are looking to set up and maintain an infrastructure that will allow them to meet their own unique packaging needs. They need a volunteer with a strong understanding of the Fedora packaging process — one who either understands koji now, or can learn to understand it in fairly short order.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Fedora community member with some chops to become one of the most important people in the OLPC universe. Remember: by the end of this year, there will be a *million* XOs out there, the very large majority of which will be running a Fedora derivative.
This is the awesome thing about participating in open source development communities: this is an opportunity that you just can’t buy. If you’re interested, drop me a line (gdk at you know where) and I can put you in touch with the infrastructure gang at OLPC.
