Friday, February 2nd, 2007. The third annual FUDCon at Boston University, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
This one’s gonna be a little bit different, though.
Have you ever heard of a BarCamp? The idea is that it’s an unconference. The folks at O’Reilly had the original idea, with their FooCamp, that the best times they had at conferences were between sessions, when they got together with smart people and talked about cool stuff. So they figured, why not set up a conference that was nothing but that cool stuff?
So that’s what a BarCamp is. Everybody puts on a show!
Go sign up now. Just edit the wiki and say “I’m coming”. It’s real easy.
Oh, and then on Saturday and Sunday, February 3rd and 4th, we’ll be hacking away on Fedora stuff. We figured since we had the place on Friday, we’d just keep it over the weekend. The nice folks at BU have promised that they won’t kick us out until Sunday night — at which point we’ll all probably wander to a bar and watch the Super Bowl.
