I remember sitting in a conference room in the basement of Linux World Boston two years ago, right before our first FUDCon, and forming the Fedora Extras Committee. Back then, the goal was simple: get a build system. Any build system. Make Fedora an actual community by giving the community something *useful* to do.
We’ve come a long way, baby. We’ve still got a ways to go, of course — but I’m amazed by what we’ve accomplished in just two years. To all of the people who helped make it happen, and to the users of the nearly 3 million unique installs of Fedora Core 6: a profound thank you.
